  • What are the differences between the frostings that you offer?
We offer various types of frostings for your cakes. We have provided some more information about each type of frosting available. AMERICAN BUTTERCREAM American Buttercream is our standard buttercream that can be used for all dietary requirements (substitutes are used for vegan and dairy-free). This buttercream is the sweetest type of buttercream and can form a crust when exposed to air. SWISS MERINGUE BUTTERCREAM Swiss Meringue Buttercream is a velvety and luxurious buttercream that is made using a meringue base (egg whites and sugar). We have spent a long time perfecting our Swiss Meringue Buttercream to provide the best texture and flavour for you. This buttercream is not as sweet, however, can only be used on cakes containing eggs. CHOCOLATE GANACHE Dark & White Chocolate Ganache are made from chocolate and double cream. The ganache is whipped and used to fill the cakes. This frosting can be rich and sweet, nonetheless, can be used for cakes with any dietary requirements (substitutes are used). DOUBLE CREAM & MASCARPONE CHEESE In place of fresh cream, we use a Double Cream & Mascarpone Cheese frosting, which increases the stability and creaminess of the frosting. Perfect for fresh fruit cakes as this frosting is not too sweet. This frosting cannot be used on cakes that require design or colouring, only fresh fruit cakes.
  • How shall I transport my cake?
When transporting your cakes, please ensure you have an empty boot or passenger footwell. Additionally, please keep a non-slip mat under your cake to ensure safe transportation. Keep the air conditioning on in the car, a cool car will help to ensure there will be no movement within the cake, especially with buttercream cakes. Always hold your cake from the bottom of the box, do not hold the box from the sides. Drive carefully!
  • How should I store my cake?
Store your cake somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. If you decide to put your cake in the fridge, take it out at least 4-5 hours before serving (except for cakes with Double Cream & Mascarpone Cheese). Cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature.
